Amal Clooney

Amal Alamuddin was born Beirut. The Arabic word that means "hope" is'ml. It was just two years old when her family moved from Lebanon to Buckinghamshire from Lebanon during the Lebanese Civil War. The father of her mother, Ramzi Alamuddin, a Lebanese Druze who was from the Alam al-Din dynasty, a village in Baakline in the Chouf district,[11earned his MBA diploma from the American University of Beirut. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother.
