StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her first film role was Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. Her next roles were Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). On television, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both series. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico and was the daughter of an Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. Through her father, she's an U.S. citizen. [2][3][4] She's an U.S. citizen by virtue of her father. His brother and the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman married actress Barbara Mori Sigman. Before making her debut in film in Rio de Oro, she began her career as Mexican TV star. She was the main role of Laura Guerrero (Miss Bala) in the Mexican crime drama. [6] The film was nominated for the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8However, it didn't make the final list.
